The MikRA UD5 ultrasonic sensor is designed to detect surfaces of solid, liquid and bulk materials that reflect ultrasonic waves directed at them. When such surfaces are detected at a given distance from the sensor, a control signal is generated for industrial equipment control systems. The sensor is used to detect objects, workpieces, containers or tools at a given distance from the sensor, in the presence of other surfaces that also reflect ultrasonic rays, but are located at other distances.
